A rare piece of aristocratic silver, this wonderfully shaped box was probably part of a large toiletry or desk set. It is engraved for Charles Stuart, Baron Stuart de Rothesay. (For more info on him see Charles Stuart). The box was made by Edward Farrell in London in 1827. In very good condition, with a nice gilded interior.
Clearly hallmarked.
It measures 16.5cm long and weighs 160 grams.
