A solid piece of Irish sterling silver, this fiddle pattern cream ladle has the typically Irish rat-tail on it that was popular in the early-mid nineteenth century.
It was made by Matthew West & Son in 1825.
The hallmarks are clear and it has a nice monogram on a Griffin holding a broken spear.
It measures approximately 33 cm long and weighs 244 grams.
