Isaac Solomon was one of the few Jews in Cork as the new century opened. He traded from 1801 as a silversmith and jeweller on St. Patrick’s Street, specialising in small items, such as spoons and cream jugs. He died in 1845. This set of four mustard (or egg) spoons are in the fiddle pattern, but with a longer fiddle part as is found sometimes in provincial silver. They are all engraved 'T'. They are in very good condition, just one ding on one of the bowls.
Each stamped 'I.SOLOMONS' 'STERLING'.
They measure 10.5cm long and weigh a combined 33 grams.
