Aberdeen is a port city in northeast Scotland. These spoons were made there by silversmith James Erskine in around 1790. Aberdeen is the most commonly found Scottish Provincial silver, but this combination of marks is hard to find. The spoons have a nice period crest of a Griffin's Head and motto 'GRIP FAST' for the Lesslie Clan. There is a later monogram added to the back 'A.H.S'. They are in very good overall condition, with little to no wear to the bowls, one does have a very slight kink to the bowl.

Clearly stamped Hand clutching dagger, Three Towers & IE.

They measure 17cm long and weigh a combined 50 grams.
