Indian themes became a popular in the 1870s in the UK. Scotland produced their own take on the Indian designs. This cream jug is a nice example of that. It was made by James Reid & Co in Glasgow in 1873. It is in good overall condition, but it not quite circular.
Hallmarked are readable but rubbed.
It measures just under 9.5cm high and weighs 114 grams.
